A man is dead and several others injured after an explosion occurred in Ritchie County Monday night. The explosion was reported to 911 just before 10:30 p.m. on East Myles Avenue in Pennsboro, West Virginia. Four fire departments responded to the scene to battle the blaze from the explosion which was under control by 3 a.m. The body of the man killed in the explosion has been sent to the state medical examiner’s office in Charleston according to reports from state police. The state police have not yet made a determination as to the cause of the blast.
